In an interview at the Consumer Electronic’s Show, Bill Gates said the following:

    “The strength of Nintendo…in the portable space, has been very impressive. [It’s] surprised a lot of people, I think, [that] and the Wii. We see Nintendo as our toughest competition.”

Gates is a savvy guy. He knows that the Wii will never compete with Microsoft’s XBOX 360 in terms of quality graphics and expandability into the home theater market. So, by paying tribute to Nintendo, he effectively implies that Sony’s PS3 lags behind.
